How many floor pass-throughs can we drill through each junction box?
This is up to the installer to determine how many pass throughs will fit within the drill zone. The JB-1.2 typically fits 3-4 pass throughs into the attic. The JB-1.XL and JB-2 typically fit 4-5 floor pass throughs into the attic.
Since these products are made of plastic, will they last over time?
The vast majority of polymers aren’t designed for PV and to withstand harsh UV for 25+ yrs (think PVC, etc…) However, there are advanced polymers that are specifically engineered to perform in these environments for 25+ yrs. Examples of this advanced polymer in use include Enphase Energy, SolarEdge, commercial skylights, NASA, and the Automotive Industry. Our products are built for solar, UV, and harsh weather leveraging the same advanced polymer technology found in the above products and industries, and certified with a UL1741 rating.
